~ Me: Laughter you need to go feed the cats.
Laughter: but Mom I'm in the process of reading my book.

~ Me to Laughter after being gone for the weekend. Do you have a cold, Bud?
Him: I am a little cold.
Me: No, I mean is your nose sick?
Him: Well, why do you ask?
Me: Because you sound like it's hard to breathe.
Him: Yes it is. Thanks for asking.

~ I was puttering in the kitchen when all of the sudden something licks the back of my leg...Turns out I now have a three year old dog. After I scolded that dog for licking me I filled a water bowl and kicked him outside where all bad dogs banned too...And now I have a very happy three year old, I mean dog. It's the strangest things that make kids happy.

~ Oh we've been to a movie feeder. We were just there with Daddy. Is it true that they really feed you?

Me: Yup you can get food there.

Laughter: No I mean do they really feed you?

Me: What do you mean?

Laughter: Do they feed you like bird feeders do?

Me: Ha! No, Bud, it's not a movie feeder it's a movie theater! That's the name of a building that shows movies or people acting.

~ Laughter: My first favorite place to eat is what your making, Momma. My second is Denny's.

~ Laughter: P P P P. Not the kind of pee that comes out of your body, but the letter P. The other kind is potty talk and it's not good to use potty talk is it Momma?

~ Laughter: Momma there are a million kind of P's. The letter P, the pee that comes out of your body, then there are peas that you eat. It's so confusing sometimes.

~ Laughter: When I'm keeping a secret I only give away little hints, like if it's a biver (quiver) then I only say biv. That way I'm only saying a little bit of the surprise, but not enough for them to know what it is.

~ Laughter at nap time today was quietly crying in his bed so I went to check on him.

Him: I'm can't keep my eyes shut and Daddy said I had too.

Me: It's okay if you look at the wall.

Him: What about the ceiling? Can I look at that?

Me: Yes.

Him: Why can't I look everywhere?

Me: Okay you can look everywhere, but we're all feeling kind of down so you need to stay quiet and rest. Okay?

Him: (In a sad pathetic voice) Okay.

~ Last night after Man of the woods had been sleeping deeply for hours came into the living room blurry eyed and said with a pouty face, "I'm all empty, I need some water."

~ A day in the life... "Momma, Isaac fell in the toilet."

Me: Oh yeah, what happened?

"Well, we were trying to go pee at the same time and he just fell in."

~ Laughter: Daddy, first of all I love you.

Strong man: And second of all?

Laughter just gave him a blank stare.

Strong man: And second of all, I love you to little bear.

~ Me: Laughter, I thought you said you feed the cats? They don't have any food in there dish.

Laughter: Momma, they only wanted 8 bites.
